I have just seen this film. I can only condemn him as a traitor. A traitor to his many valiant (former) colleagues who chose to remain loyal, fighting the Japanease threat, and to the memory of former Gurkha's in earlier battles. Also, the Indian National Army was a 'patsy' of the Japanease. Shame on those who chose to abandon their honour and dignity to join such a rag-tag group.
Consolidate Gurkha unity .You dont know what potential this has for saving the subcontinent from anarchy of 'multiparty democracy'get benevolent monarchy and be selective in chosing your rulers .Nepal without a monarch is unsurvivable.
The only reason why Nepal and the Gorkhalis supported the British in 1857 is because they were not in favor of the reestablishment of the Mughal Empire which was a rallying point for the Mutineers. However, many heros of 1857 were given protection and asylum in Nepal, one of them being Nana Saheb, the Peshwa.
Thank you so much for posting this beautiful inspirational news. I always told my friends that not all Gorkhalis were pro-British during the Indian revolution since my family elders were always anti-British and Pro-Indian independence.
Jai Guru Gorkhanath! Jai Hind! Jai Mahakali, Ayo Gorkhali!

Brave Gurkhas Only if they had joined hands with Vir Kunwar Singh of Jagdishpur the two could have trounced the British enjoined by Jhansi Rani!
