Absolutely!
It's their subtlety (The Church's, and individual members' solo projects') that has always been so impressive. They don't try to say too much with any one song -- either musically or lyrically. Along with Cocteau Twins, they will likely remain life-long favorites
By the way, those demos you have posted are remarkable. It would be indecorous to ask where you got them, so I'll just be happy they're there.

Hard to say. He's thrown away better songs than most artist have ever dreamed of writing. Some people are just WAY ahead of the curve. He would have probably enjoyed more success if he hadn't been too talented for most people to appreciate.
