First movement of Rafael Junchaya's "Concerto Silvestre" for bass clarinet and orchestra. Live concert at the Bijloke concert hall (Belgium).

This wonderful pieces is the first bass clarinet concerto written by a Peruvian composer. For more info, please check this video:

Thanks to GUSO for such a wonderful performance, and their positive energy in every single concert. I"m also very thankful to Steven Decraene, for his excellent work as a conductor.

A special thanks to Rafael Junchaya, for writting this great concerto and allowing me to believe in the magic of modern music.

In case it matters, the GUSO orchestra has no professional musicians - they are all amateur players who enjoy very much making music!

  • awesome! Bravo!!

As often happens , the orchestra is to loud in sections and drowns out the soloist. I would like to hear it with a smaller group.

  • Actually, the original version is for string orchestra...I have played that version in Guatemala and the balance is better - I hope to upload this version soon in youTube. Thanks for your kind words!
