i'm hearing this was transitioned into, "baal t'shuvah." on "oracle." this is 1978. before he met will upstairs and signed the napkin contract to make breakfast in the field. i think this guitar got ripped off at some point, but i remember him loving it for certain tunes.

  • shooting video was actually still pretty new then, and this particular video is prior to mike meeting will, here at the varsity later.

  • @covertjazz, thanks. they are very special to me.

  • @covert. we would have to check that with will. it may have been. i know that it was felt to be a little too close to alex's style for BITF.

  • so glad everyone is appreciating all these! he was so great. :)

  • cool!

  • Been watching these videos for two days.Thank you so much.Michael Hedges was a phenom. artist.

  • Finding this clip is a great Christmas present. This is my favorite Hedges song, and this is an amazing video. God bless you guys for filming this.

  • This is amazing! Where did you get this video from?

  • omg

  • I graduated from high school that year and was into Rush,Tull,Yes and other progressive bands. Its cool to know that Michael was a fan of Steve Howe and actually met him. His aproach to acoustic was like some strange hippie prog band, yet it managed to take my psyche by storm.

  • @rtluge - I was also thinking - how did we capture this - video WAS so new!

    Thank God we have it!

  • I can't believe what I see. If it's actually 1978, it's probably the oldest video of Michael known to public. And hr already was that good. Million dollar video!

  • These videos are just so breath-taking.
