Dressing like a slut is kinda scary, girls with body image issues, dependent and histrionic personalities, desperate for the approval of others, feel the need to put on a spectacle [possibly getting stalked, groped, or gang raped].
Alcohol dependence, and the histrionic display of theatrical irony, both to fulfill an inadequacy, approval seeking, also scary.
Over indulgent tweens are scary in that they are needy, clingy people.
