2D picture to 3D animation test Adobe After Effects photoshop

here's my first attempt at creating a sorta 3D animation out of a simple 2D image. I followed the tutorial on www.videocopilot.net.
It's not too shabby, i guess. but i think i can do better. i like the change of focus and blurring. I think next time, i may put the background further away, to increase the 3D effect.

I liked the first part, but then it lost the sense of 3d when the virtual camera twisted. still epic though, 5/5

thanks for the comments! not sure what you mean by twisted... maybe you mean when it sorta swivels left and right?

i'm still getting the hang of how to plan out and execute a cool virtual camera move... it's only my first try...

@darthchase haa i thought the same thing looked really good at first but i stay away from orbit camera bc they are 2d images it just distorts them so you cant really do that..
