Designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, Mountain View is the final resting place of the famous pioneers in California's and San Francisco Bay's dramatic settlement.

Here are buried author Frank Norris, artist Thomas Hill, architects Julia Morgan and Bernard Maybeck, Charles Crocker.

There is also a ghost girl who is often seen at the cemetery, sometimes alone, sometimes with others, drinking wine on the lawn, or walking among the graves, dancing around the trees. She is seen usually at the end of the day. I thought this rumor a local urban legend, until now. What I experienced was supernatural; an ethereal girl.
