Fifty-two percent of Americans either has or knows someone in their family who has a pre-existing condition. Dr. Alice Chen of Doctors for America, a Center for American Progress partner organization, wants you to know that the new health reform law ends the practice of insurance companies denying coverage because of a pre-existing condition.
For more information on how health reform helps you, go to http://www.drsforamerica.org.

Sure, Obamacare will force people to get private insurance, and also force insurance companies to cover everyone regardless of pre-existing conditions. But will the plan also force private insurance to cover those with pre-existing conditions at LOW costs? B/c right now even though some companies outright deny people with PEC, they CAN cover them, but charge huge premiums in the process.

It's a good thing the lady is a doctor and not a legislator. I guess next we should force insurance companies to issue life insurance policies after your dead. What do people not get about insurance that guarentees coverage on events that have already occured is by definition not insurance - it's welfare.
