It says Max's closed in 1974 that is wrong Max's was open in this location until 1980 maybe 81 and many bands played there

Why did they take the take the place away? all the best poets and singers were there. including Janis Joplin, Patti Smith, Allen Ginsberg, Sam Shepard, Robert Mapplethorpe and meny meny more (as you can see.) It's also said that they served the best lobster in town. :)
