When I first heard this song, before the actual words kick in, I honestly thought it was by YAZOO, which was another synth pop duo popular at the time. Alison Moyet and Vince Clark actually. Annie's voice is a bit higher than Ali's. DAMN I forget how funky this track is... must get bass guitar .... play along... mmmm much better. :)

this is one of the hottest songs ever by this band!

@ELGROOVER This should have been in RS top #100!!!

I quite agree, this is NO rip off!

funky bass groove

Listening to this makes me miss actual bands and groups as opposed to the individual "artists" (and I use the term very loosely) of today. Music has definitely not gotten any better over the past decade. No creativity, no soul. Just gimmicks and a bunch stupid choreography.

How is this song a rip off of "Funky Town?" And an obvious one at that? I bought this cassette when it first came out back in the day, and I used to wear this song out and never once did I sit and think 'this is a rip off of Funky Town.'

love this album.....every track still sounds so good...I can still remember all the words to these tracks...gives me goose pimples listening to ut again....glad there are others out there who still appreciate these tunes

Lyrics are quite interesting- does anyone know, if there´s any story behind them?
I was raised on this album and I still remember this was the first track on the cassette of "Touch." Kids these days don't get to grow up with music like this.

There's more good music than there has ever been, most of wh@ has been made still exists, as we hear here!
However, wh@ you say is true, the bilge th@ kids grow up with now is pityful in comparison to wh@ we grew up with. While I say there may be more good music..today it's harder to find than ever before ; getting hidden beneath the talentless gash th@ riddles yoof culture through tv, much of radio & the front 'windows' of iTunes & the like. With some exceptions, ..it's..the...new pol-lu-tion.

Even though this is an obvious rip off from "Funky Town" by Lipps Inc., I like this song 100 times more. The bridge is authentic Eurythmics.
Touch is the all time favourite album of all Eurythmics fans. Dave and Annie did everything on this album. They were never able to surpass Touch though Savage was a damn good come back album and a classic in it's own right. But Touch is untouchable.

I hear wh@ you mean, but this song is so very different from "Funky Town" th@ to call it "...an obvious rip off...." is imo something of an overst@ement. I largely agree with the rest of wh@ you say here though ☺
