I've never had this thing running quite to what it should be and now that I have moved it into my fuge I want it fixed or replaced. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Bring the level higher so the water flows into the tank instead of plopping/slapping the surface. That's what creates bubbles, turbulance. I just asked someone on another vid about this skimmer about bubbles because I saw bubbles and I couldn't tell if the water level was high enough, the water wasn't topped off at the propper level at the time the footage was taken or there would have been very few bubbles. Play with the water like I did with my Whisper PF. And an hour wait between big changes.
From looking at the video, the micro bobbles look good. Try lowering the collection cup slightly, Check the airline by blowing in it to clear any gunk. Make sure the water level in the tank is to the top and not too low. Looks like a great skimmer after tunning it.
My friend, I have this same skimmer on my 30 gallon nano tank of which i have many videos and the skimmer is a non stop gunk producer. I have to clean the collection cup every other say. But do keep in mind, all skimmers have a break in period and mines took 2 weeks to break in. Maybe the addition of your new refuge is causing the skimmer not to function properly.
You mentioned that you just moved it into the sump, the sump if new has oils on it, especially if you build it yourself and until the sump breaks in with the slime that needs to develop, it will interrupt the skimmers performance. Adding some carbon to the overall system can help remove these oils and cause the skimmer to break in faster. Doing water changes with dechlorinator can effect any skimmers performance as well. How about a video of your over all system and description of maintenance?
That skimmer looks brand new and so does your sump? Initially, when a skimmer is new, there is a break in process but since you say it is a year old skimmer, did you check to see if the injector is clean by unscrewing the white screw and inserting the brush that came with it? How many animals do you have in the tank? Your system sure looks brand new from the bit showned in the video. My remora has been on my system for 5 months and there is algae everywhere on it?

Your water level is to low for it to work, it takes more effort for the pump to push water up when the intake pipe is out of water...

Yah try cleaning the injector under the white screw with a pipe brush. Make sure its unclogged or you will have a mess.
