@graveey yeahhhh forgot about that track...

@eddievelasco Yeah. Most of the chops-heavy drummers playing the super-complex stuff end up sacrificing their beast instincts (if they ever had them), but not Billy! I say this, by the way, as the world's biggest fan of Zappa drummer Aynsley Dunbar, whose nickname was "The Beast".

I'd recommend everything by Floyd (pink floyd), Gilmour is one of the best guitarists in the world, along with Mclaughlin, but yeah Pink Floyd is too good of a band to categorize as progressive. But then again if you know Crimson you most likely know everything about Pink Floyd.
Gentle Giant-Three Friends
Gong is a good band
Frank Zappa-Freak Out (Is not similar to King Crimson though)

tribe called quest-same ol thing (if anyone likes hip hop here and wants to hear it sampled)

4/4 or 3/4, please pick one! ;^;
(jk. This song's fucking beast.)

This one is dedicated to Miles Davis, and it really shows.
Despite being a guitarist, Jan Hammer is probably my favourite part of this track. That Rhodes just works perfectly.

I recently discovered 'King Crimson' and in my quest to find similar artists i was recomended 'Manavishnu Orcestra'. This is just the second track of theirs i've heard so far after 'Birds of Fire'; and I must say, if the rest of the album is as good as these two songs, I will be buying this album asap!
Cobham just grooves the sick time signature like it was NOTHING.
