A "healbot class"? You kidding me? My RP could solo 1v1 nearly every Chaos class no problem. On the scenario scores I was #1 or 2 in healing and usually around 2 or 3 in top damage. If all you did was heal, you certainly didn't play the class to it's fullest, and no, you don't have to be high level to do good damage with a RP.

Aside from tossing a DoT out when you have time if you aren't using all of your AP and attention on keeping the 20-100 people in the fray in front of you alive, you are a terrible healer :p Leave the damage for the classes who do it best and use your heals to the fullest advantage of your realm. If you want to do damage and feel like rambo, roll something else.

A well played RP can do both very easily. The Devs have said it over and over...THERE ARE NO HEALBOTS IN WAR. If you want to play as a Healbot then go for it....but, there is absolutely no reason a RP, or any other healer in WAR, has to be a healbot.

Like I said earlier, I have no doubt if you specced for damage and used all offensive tactics you could do respectable dps, but your heals would suffer. A RP chaining heals nonstop (and there are plenty of heal targets to never stop) will be a much bigger asset to his side in a battle than doing some additional DPS. While casting a nuke you could have kept that bright wizard from dying and in turn allowed him to do 10x your dps for the team. I agree though no one HAS to be a healbot.

nice vid m8. How would you describe the gaming experience as a runepriest? I mean, are you completely healing/buffing-oriented or are you actually able to deal out some sweet dps aswell?

DPS isnt good, you could probably spec for it at higher levels but really its just a healbot class.

no one is saying they are not healing, if everyone is pretty much full on the hp or near it, there is nothing wrong with nuking a little and dotting a few

No your not, your a healer who is trying to DPS. Try it at level 40 and see how terrible it is. If you roll a healer your a healer not dps, doesnt matter how you gear or spec.

Yes I have shaman also and the DPS is bad. But with morale abitilies, some int+ in gear, specced for damage and bang I'm DPS career with an healing abitilies

Yeah there are, Mythic didn't come through on that aspect. Zealots and Runepriests are only decent healbots. Our DPS is terrible, waste of GCD and AP.

if ur saying that RP is only an healbot career, I think u cannot play ;/ There are not such as careers which are only good at healing in War

It appears we have two different approaches to playing and I fully agree that the way you are describing a RP's usefulness does work well if you go into RvR fights solo and unguilded. I'm nearly 100% with my guild and we are well organized and I never need to spam heal miscellaneous players. I have my group to heal and that's it. I can heal every player in my group EASILY and do substantial damage at the same time. I even cross heal other group's in my guild's RP's during fights no problem.
