Mb290 leaf blower was converted to Gas/Glow fuel. OS Max 4 cycle glow plug with adapter. The engine keeps going on hot glow plug. Note...for safty a heavy firemans glove is used and engine was not reved any way near top RPM . Do not copy my methods. Be more safe. See RCuniverse-engine forum...Handle Capt,n

  • does the glow fuel have any nitro in it?

  • @Bamchucknorris Yes the Glow fuel has 10% nito in it. Remember...most is gas(2/3) so nitro ends up being far less in total %

  • @engineman327 Yes the Glow fuel had 10% nitro to start with. After adding gas by 66 percent...the Nitro content cannot be much....not that good with math! Capt,n

  • i hate these vids when they put their fingers close to the blades i bet some people have cut their fingers off

  • @JOCKATEO I did explain not to do this...I have been very carefull and use heavey leather gloves. Electric motors on electric airplanes are far worse. The keep right on cutting and do not quit untill you shut them off. Most other glow engines quit when the hit a heavy leather glove. Tkae Care John

  • Is that a four stroke engine or two stroke?

  • @christiedf33 To my suprize the glow fuel does not seem to bother this carb. When you think about it a lot of small 2 cycle engines run ok on gas that has alcohol in it.

  • Some carbs work better. Go to "engine conversions forum on RCuniverse and read AV8TOR,s postings. He has it down to a sicence. The slow Idle will amaze you. The 2 things tou can do is raise the tab on inlet needle a bit & use the Tan colored diaphrames in carb, they last good. Capt,n On RCU

  • I read an article in RC universe about a year ago. It started with just gas and oil. It works but wont idle. The magic formula was 1/3 10% glow fuel pink, with 2/3 regular gas, and a OS F plug, with an adaptor from horizon hobbies. The only drawback is you need to clean the carburetor or the rubbers will rot. No oil the caster oil is more than enough oil and the oil works as octane so regular is good enough.
