Just installed this exhaust on my bike on Friday. It's exactly what I expected it to be.

  • do you have a power commander installed?

  • Yes. I installed it after this video was made. I also installed the noise reducing tip since then. It knocks the sound down about 5 to 8dB. Still loud but managable without earplugs. :)

  • 71camino12, it was about $500. I later had to get the supressor tip. It brought the sound down about 5db, but enough to get rid of the high pitch noise part. No PC. In the works though. I also need to get a K&N air filter at the same time. I hear ya about the fender eliminator, I'm just too lazy to order one right now. :)

  • whats wrong with your tach?

  • It's not the tach its the video. When I compressed the video, the sound got offset by a second or two.

  • Aww man that would look sweet on my k6 black/yellow 750! How much did that run you, any power commander? By the way your next step should be to get rid of the rear fender, its inexpensive and looks 10 times better!

  • Yeah, the fender is coming off soon as well as powder coating the rear pegs black. I need those for when my wife rides. No power commander.....yet. It's in the works though. I still need to remove my smog equipment. Thanks for the comment!

you want to see ugly, go look at the stock exhaust for the 08's lol

  • sorry back2nrml but until you learn how to spell SENSE you shouldn't tell anyone to stick to their own language when you haven't yet mastered your own.

  • @Malaka3211 hi, the install is pretty easy except where you need to swap a bolt round to stop the exhaust being pushed out too far. You get full instructions in the box as far as I recall. It took me about three hours to do without a paddock stand (and I have no mechanical experience) and a little lifting help from a friend but I just had it refitted after an MOT (too loud to pass) by a service centre and it took them only 30 minutes (mind you I'd already swapped the bolt around of course).

  • @duexie hi, I got one of these a while ago from moorespeedracing - I think they had to order it in from Two Brothers UK who had to get it shipped in from the US so it took a little while (10 - 14 days) but it was all good and no customs fee. I think it was £360 delivered. It's a great little pipe.

  • sick bike do you think the 06 -07 headers will fit a 08 -09 cause of the dam cat converter

  • i want that exhaust! any1 know where's best to get it from britain???

  • How difficult was the install?

  • your an idiot, all a full system is is a larger header pipe and a slip on, and a larger header pipe wont really change the sound of a bike, but a slip on will because that is where all the sound reduction comes in at.

  • @TrueToTheGame22 you're a fuckin idiot... a slip on makes any bike way louder than stock unless that bike has something like a cat or another muffler attached to the header which doesn't get removed when you attach the slip on (i.e. 2008 and newer gixxer 600/750, 06 and newer r6's etc.) so why don't you reply to this and make yourself look like more of an idiot and amuse everybody

  • Good safety precaution. One of the leading causes of deafness and loss of hearing is motorcycle riding. I don't wear earplugs but I should.

  • I didn't mention anything about a slip-on being louder than a full system. I said a slip-on is louder than stock. Read carefully next time. Btw, the reason you've never heard anything louder than a megaphone full system exhaust is because it's probably the only full exhaust system you've ever had. Try a full akrapovic exhaust and open your SET valve. Or listen to planes take off at your local airport.

  • ok no, unless you take the cat off theres no way in hell a slipon is going to be louder than a full system. i just put a full system on my bike and ive never heard anything louder other than a megaphone full system
