I wish my Kelpie X and Border Collie X liked the water. They are both scared of the beach but love the sand. They are gorgeous dogs.

nice dogs, although i cant say that ive seen that colour in a purebred kelpie before. i have a pure bred australian kelpie (fawn and red) and a purebred border collie working my cattle farm. i hope that you realise that working dogs are just that. you cannot play with working dogs. they are happy to herd cattle all day for the rest of their lives. i think that playing with them is doing a disservice to yourself and the dogs

Thanks for taking the time to comment. I have 3 kelpies, if you go to my page "52keg" you will see that although I live in the suburbs I have been taking my dogs Storm and Pippa sheep herding regularly. Unfortunately Gypsy has a hip problem and doesnt participate. Gypsy has a long history but we suspect there is a bit of collie there way back in her line. My other 2 are working kelpies with long working pedigrees, a red & tan and a blue & tan.... cheers

@LilShifty69 Hi I'm afraid they are pure "Working Kelpies" with long pedigrees (Australian Working Kelpie Council of Australia). As such they do not look the same as the "Show"or "Bench"Kelpies; there is a difference. These dogs are bred to work NOT look good to a "standard". You wont find a "bench" Kelpie working sheep (their working ability tends to be bred out of them). Go to my other videos to see Storm and my other dog, Pippa in training. Cheers
