  • Yes , I use an average of 1 blade per deer for fleshing and 1 for prep work, I use the scaple primarily for caping

  • did that fleshing cone happen to be a sanded down Louisville slugger?

  • ok, i have been ripping a lot of wholes in the skin. I use a regular butcher knife when i deflesh the skin. Not the nose or anything. Am i just going to fast or what. And how to you tan the ears.

  • Probably not sharp enough.  The "yellow thing" - as it's referred to a lot in emails to us - works very well as its razor sharp (literally). We're in the process of getting them out to production so check our website often.

  • Wow thats awsome i just started deer hunting this year im 14 and ive always wanted to know how to do this so maybe one day i could do my own deer mounts
