Cigar Blend Tasting at Tabacalera Plasencia

Shot at Plasencia's Factory in Esteli, Nicarargua, the first half of this video shows master blender, Evilio Oviedo, rolling single-leaf "cigars." This is done for sampling the flavor of a specific tobacco leaf that may be used in a given cigar blend. The second half shows Famous Smoke Shop President, Arthur Zaretsky, sampling one of these single leaf cigars. FSS General Manager, Hal Odzic, is seen behind him smoking a completed sample cigar.

Um, I'm by no means an expert, but why does that filler sound so dry?? 70% humidity doesn't crack like that does it??

It's not. The tobacco was fresh out of the rolling room. The room I shot the video in was big and empty, so the mic picked up a lot of detail in the sound. - G.K.
