Wilhelm Friedemann Bach (22 November 1710 1 July 1784), the second child and eldest son of Johann Sebastian Bach and Maria Barbara Bach, was a German composer and performer. Despite acknowledged genius as an organist, improviser and composer, his income and employment finally became unstable and he died in poverty.
This suite has sometimes been attributed to Friedemanns father, Johann Sebastian Bach as BWV 1070, but was in fact MOST certainly composed by Friedemann.
The Kammerorchester 'Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach' plays under Hartmut Haenchen.

I came about this information that Bach had a son by chance on TV one day. And to put it mildly, I was mightily impressed. Wilhelm was as good, if only better than his father, who was a composing genious.

@Maewynn2011 Long line of Bach family musicians. Bach was so proud of his ancestors he wrote a geneology of all the his composer/musician (same thing in those days) forbears!
