What law does the apostle Paul say in Colossians 2:14 was blotted out and nailed to the Cross? TheForerunner777 explains clearly Colossians 2:14-17 from the Bible. Check out his page at http://www.youtube.com/user/TheForerunner777

  • Thanks, Nirky. Nicely done. You've given me something to pray and reflect on. Hope to see you on the other side!

  • @jblglw

    Thank you, praise the Lord!

  • Well I agree that we should keep the Sabbath, but what day is the the Sabbath?. The days of the week were designed around the moons; the feast and the harvest days. from my calculations the Sabbath falls on 8th,15th,22th and 29th of every-month this year and I am not certain that is correct. The fact that the Jews were exiled from Isreal in 400 AD they made a new calender on what they thought were the days because you cannot determined the days with out the harvest .

"The seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God." Ex 20:10

    What "seventh day"?

"For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it." v11.

  • @carlsmithey

God made the earth and all that is in it in six consecutive days. Gen ch 1. A "day" He defines as a part of time having an "evening and morning" (Gen 1:5, 8, 13), that is, a 24-hr period, governed of course by the earth rotating on it's axis around a light source, the sun.

Then on the seventh day the Creator rested from His work of creation. That is why the seventh day is the "Sabbath", the "ceasing".

What happens after the seventh day? The weekly cycle repeats. Mat 28:1.

  • @carlsmithey

Also note that the seven day weekly cycle has nothing to do with any calendar, nor with any other planetary body.

The US Naval Observatory has stated positively that there has been NO break in our seven day cycle from before the time of Jesus 2000 years ago, so as long as Jesus knew which day was His seventh, we can have complete confidence the seventh day today, Saturday, is the same seventh day Jesus kept.

He says "If you love Me, keep My commandments" John 14:15. God bless.

  • NIRKY MMM WELL SAID THANKS FOR YOUR BIBLE VERSES.THAT WAS REFRESHING

  • MY FRIEND CARISTHMETHY THE ROMAN STATE CHANGED THE CALLENDAR WHAT THEY NEVER CHANGED IS THE 7TH DAY OF THE WEEK.DEVIL TRIES TO DO THINGS CONTRARY TO WHAT GOD DOES OR HAS COMMANDED.REMEMBER HES A REBELLIOUS DEMON.HES ALWAYS IN OPPOSITE DISOBEDIENCE TO GODS COMMAND.GOD SAYS REST ON THE LAST DAY OF THE WEEK SABBATH DEVIL IN [OPPOSITE] TELLS NO DO NOT KEEP THE LAST DAY OF THE WEEK KEEP THE 1ST DAY OF THE WEEK.CAN YOU SEE THE PICTURE 7TH DAY AND 1ST DAY?

  • Let's make sure we don't take Colossians 2:17 out of context. It reads Which ARE a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. It does not state WERE a shadow. So of course if the righteous objectives mentioned in verse 16 are a shadow its clear that the same is yet to come. Please be advised Paul was giving support to believers who were being pressured by gentiles to drink blood, eat unclean foods & practice the worship of the sun, moon & stars. History & the bible proves this. Peace!

  • @carlsmithey well lets look to Jesus....what day did he go in the Synagogue the sabbath day. Was he the creator. yes heb 1:2 so did he establish the sabbath yes! while on earth would he not know what day was the day he made! and have his people worship on the right day. Look at the resurrection it states what day the sabbath is clearly and Jesus keep that day as he commanded his people to do because he saved us.

  • Yes! The 10 Commandments are eternal. That means, we can have sex in heaven! Yes!

  • Amen!

  • tell it like it is~
