Pink Floyd - Live footage of "Careful with that Axe Eugene"

Footage from the Sydney show (at Randwick Racecourse) during their Australian tour in 1971, performing "Careful with that Axe, Eugene". Note that the sound is not from the same concert, being in fact from the live part of "Ummagumma". Originally broadcast as part of a segment on GTK**, the ABC's music show of the period. (ABC = Australian Broadcasting Commission, the state broadcaster). The segment also included an inerview with all four members, and a clip for "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun". (see here on my channel also)

From a re-broadcast of the segment on Rage, (late-night music programme on ABC) in January 2008. (Wasn't that very good of them!)

"G.T.K. (Get To Know), was an oasis in what was the culural desert of rural Australia in the 70's.
Sadly I recently found that many episodes were erased, to reuse 'valuable' video cassette tape..."

@ltcurry LOL-king: You'd have to ask the ABC producers of the show in the early 1970s. I suspect the answer is: with film, it's easier and cheaper to just shoot the visual, and forget the live sound, and dub in some later. Obviously the live recording on Ummagumma seemed to furnish them with a good fit.

So yeah, I didn't do it, LOL.

Does anyone know where i cud get 1 of those vintage mic tht pink floyd uses(clearly seen on echoes,live in pompeii video)..searched on ebay,google,amazon..nowhere to be found. Would be rely helpful if anyone cud giv me any info regarding those kindof vintage mics..

@holicat098 This question has been covered several times, by me also: in the original blurb, and in a follow-up comment, after numerous other cool dudes like yourself kept whinging needlessly. Notice also that the title is live "footage" = visual. The blending of the two was done by the ABC in the 1970s. In future, before you decide to mouth off, consider whether what you are about to say makes you sound wiser, or just foolish. Fake indeed. Wake up, man. Up ya bum, lazy reader.
