This video will show you how to bind off your knitting project. Follow along and see how easy it is to actually do! Anyone can learn to knit and it's a great craft to know if you want to give handmade gifts!

Question: What if you were doing a rib knit? or a seed stitch? Or a stockinette stitch? How would you bind that off?

Answer: I continue to knit the stitches just as I would have if I were knitting another row. I simply bind them off (slip one over the other, as described in this video) rather than keep them on the needle.

  • does it matter whether you use this for the knit or the purl stitch?? or can this only be used for the knit stitch?

  • @kimblesxoxo Hi, you can use this technique with knit or purl stitches, yes.

  • Thanks a lot! You have beautiful hands.

  • Wow thank you!

  • This is one of the only videos that actually shows how to properly do the final stitch! The others assume you already know how to do this stuff and forget about that final little detail. Why would I be watching a HOW TO video if I already knew HOW TO? Nice work, whoever made this!

  • I've been working at a long skirt for like 2 months but I can't get the binding off part. It gets wavy. tried to work loose, tried to work tighter, still wavy and I need it to be straight. what can I do? I am a little desperate.
