Dog training demonstrating how distracting training dogs can be, especially when one dog is alerting to squirrels! The next video shows a difference once I eliminate Boudicca from the environment, squirrels still provide distraction, but with patience and perseverence you don't have to use punishment (shock collars) to get good trained behavior!

There is also a large meaty bone laying in the middle of the field, another distraction added purposely to demonstrate attending behavior from the dog.

This demonstration also shows how effective Gentle Leaders are especially for rescue and shelter dogs who did not benefit from early proper training. It's merely a tool, used properly and with understanding the tool is faded out just like we do with other initial cues for chained type behaviors.

There's no excuse for using harsh training methods and/or shock collars to train dogs, positive reinforcement and appropriate mild corrections perserves your relationship with your dog.
