Fotos of the guiar that Mike mainly used in 70's and 80's. That video is a kind of tribute for this guitar, for it's sound. Music during video was recorded by me on Ibanez RG 320 FM (made in 90's). I created this sound using my BOSS GT-8 - my brand new equipment (it's really good). Sound of guitar is very very close to Mike's. I think that no one can do this sound better becouse only Mike can create something.... something so beutiful that I can cry! :) It wasn't so easy to make it. I hope you like my video.
We miss Mike with this guitar - it's really hard to me to stop being angry to Mike that he sold it- in fact it's very awful up today.

Track list:
1. Ommadawn pt.1 Intro solo
2. Solo from In Dulci Jubilio (sorry- sound should be more sharp, more treble)

  • @MichaelKatzengreis74 I'm glad you like it !!! The settings I wrote in the description of a video. when there is no info before number it means that it is next setting. e.g GAIN 100, 50 (so 50 is bass becouse it's next)

  • use haedphones for better sound. sorry for some noises that appear when i play high notes - it was caused by sharing it on youtube :<

  • Hi,

I'm thinking about buying GT 8 or 10. Is the setting a lot different on GT 10? I've read it's better in almost every way as far as sound and conectivity goes, but I am not sure about the design without knobs. :P

  • im still a 1st year begginner and tomorrow im beginning the 2nd year.....by the time ill be worth a gibson sg they will have changed the standard's design like a thousand times (not to mention how rare these are gonna be.......) :-(

  • whats the best equivelent sg to buy that is like mikes

  • Great! Well, I´m going to buy the GT-10, because it should be even better then the fantastic GT-8. So I will try to reach the Oldfield sound as good as your sound!!?? :-)

  • I can't understand how Mike Oldfield could create such a unique sound with his SG, and then go and sell it....

  • Coraz lepiej :)

    Very good!

  • Coraz lepiej :)

  • @lukaszswietek This soudn is really very similar to Mike´s sound. Good playing too. It´s right way to playing like Mike. :-)
