  • Longtime-Windowsuser, arent you? Icons on Desktop, Menubar at the bottom ^^

but nice vid - but I cant see the productivity of the wobbly windows - used them a bit but then tourned them off, just anoing, when you often move windows and this effects makes me crazy ^^

  • Thank you for replying. I will confess, I have had alot of use with windows. For this, I hang my head in shame. I also agree with the wobbly windows, but with in my defense I havent seen anything like this before, thus I am 'wowed'. I am trying my best to migrate to linux, however there are still a few hicups.

  • i has to mutch crap for my theme

  • ubuntu = free thining windows=commercial & money

  • DOn't take their individual ideologies as perks to why it's better Vibaf,be it open source or closed,we're still speaking in terms of stability and performance right? The only downside of Win 7 is that it uses more Ram than LInux, but almost any distro of LInux uses tons of cpu power.....so it kinda measures out.Frankly, alough I like Ubuntu,I had to say that it crashed on me a lot more times than WIndows did.....and getting my mics 2 work on my Eee in ubuntu was hell...Microsoft rlly pulled it off

  • just because it's older doesnt mean its better! i just braught this argument, because thats the reason WHY there is so much software. Lets take the security-part. Viruses, Spyware? Not possible (execpt you install it yourself ^^) in Linux. Hacking? Not really (execpt you are local ;) )

Kay - Gaming: just because Windows is more common, more Developers design Games for Windows - and Microsoft itself codes DirectX - There is money - OpenGL? free project :/ - so you cant say Windows is better ;)

  • u just answered ur own question,it's better BECAUSE it has been for a long time and u can find almost any software for it,it's a gaming OS,that which Linux isn't(Wine ain't doing a good job),and if u wanna rule this out, last time I checked(not speaking with fanboy-ness and I'd advise you 2 do the same),my Windows 7 rtm boots much faster in my dual boot then Ubuntu 9.04...oh yeah, and the driver searching thing, way over,u get them in windows 7 via windows update when u install it :)

  • being equal to windows? why should linux be that?

and give me one good reason, why windows is the better why?

and dont come along with "more apps for windows" - thats because windows is much older and more common - linux is very young - btw: drivers? ready build in at the kernel. I install linux and I'm already done - windows: install, install drivers, install antivirus-software, (reboot alot xD) etc - and now tell me, why windows is the better alternative? ;)

  • Just drag the starter from the menu to desktop 0o

  • I have ubuntu too but dont know how to change shortcuts extra into icons like he has =X plz help

  • why hang ur head in shame just for using windows?Lol....get real man.......windows has a LOT of advantages that Linux doesn't,it's all about productivity on each, not a stupid fad driven by the "linux is better logo".......I personaly use a dual boot, yeah,Ubuntu is great, but it still has a long way from being equal to windows 7.....tell me.....why am I not bowing my head too?
