The '07 Mississippi State Drumline performing State Beat. Written by our instructor Dr. Jason Baker in 2005, this is the '07 version of the cadence. It's not possible to have 'too" many basses. You can march as many as you like. Most DCI and High School groups march 5, where colleges will march 8 or so. The more you have, the more runs you can have. I am bass captain at my high school, march bass 3

I absolutely love you guys. I've talked to a few of you before, and continue to do so. I just wanted to spread the props to YouTube. I really like what you guys did with this version, but I've just heard the original too many times to think any less of it. I think that I have each and every part memorized. I sleep, eat, and make love to that cadence. You guys are, without a doubt, my favorite college line.
