You are correct, and I've been using them since the early 90s. It's not a true statement. That being said, the implementation in OS X is bar none the best I've used, and every time I move to a Linux, Solaris, or Windows machine, I long to have Spaces back.

Let me refraise then. Way to go Linux, after a decade you finally caught up with... oh wait Linux is still missing 90% of what all modern OSs these days have. My bad.
