Richard joins us at NYU to talk about the process of turning a novel into a screenplay. Other works include: Samaritan, The Wanderers, Freedomland, Clockers. Screenplays include: Ransom, Clockers, Night and the City, Shaft, Sea of Love -- and he was also a co-writer of HBO's mega-hit series, The Wire.
