Passengers on the Barcelona Christmas Eve Spanair flight to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria had a surprise waiting for them in baggage claim. On the conveyor belt wasn't their luggage (that presumably came later) but packages with their names on them. The airline picked personalized gifts for each passenger based on their profile. For the children: teddy bears, giant candy bars, toy horses, cars, and trumpets, puppets and costumes. For the adults: beauty products, cameras and hats. The airline provided the gifts to the passengers on the last fight before Christmas as a special gesture for those who had no choice but to fly on Christmas Eve.
This is beautiful. Kindness in any form is always beautiful and I was moved to tears to see the care and thoughtfulness this airline took to deliver kindness and thoughtfulness all wrapped up for their passengers. I'm sure Spanair does community service to those who are less fortunate too. Let's not be so negative as to tear down the intentions this company had in spreading joy to those travelers who were tired, late at night, and who probably could use a little cheer in the wee hours. Bravo!

@kimintexas Why do you care if companies give gifts to their customers?

@kimintexas um they all look a little needy to me.. picking the last flight on christmas eve which are probably relatively cheaper. and who exactly are the "needy"? spanair is promoting/rewarding their customers with a little festive spirit... not people who decide to take the train or bus it wtf? HOW STUPID (your comment is)
