maybe it was suppose to just b a rumor or teaser advertisement for a remake of 7 after 13 but of course best buy was just stupid enough to try making up a release date for it and fuck it up

It wont affect them because millions would still buy it.
Though I think when XIII is near completion, I think an announcement might be rather probable.

Me and my friends promised ourselves not to buy XIII until Square Enix states that VII will be remade. TAKE THAT SQUARE ENIX!!!

Why in the hell would Best Buy lye to us like that? Its not funny at all! But here is my theory: Square Enix had them put this ad up to see how fans would react, and maybe if we request this game just as we did with the PS3 Tech Demo, they might actually remake it.

Nope. FFVII was released on the Playstation Network on June 2nd, 2009.
