It's about 17 year old Hinaki Yogoshu, she lives in a world of war and death. She cries very little though and has no worries for herself or her life, just young orphans who's parents were killed in the war. One day a 14 year old boy named Hayato wanders into the city were Hinaki is and see's her amoung the ruins of an old building with a group of four children with her. He at first belives she is an angel guiding souls of children to heaven but he soon realizes that the bombing alarms are going off and she has taken him but the hand and is guiding him and the children to safety. After they run to an old underground passageway Hinaki leads them to and old catacomb with stained glass windows everywhere. Hayato thanks Hinaki and they introduce each other, later that night in the catacombs Hayato wakes up by the fire and see's Hinaki quietly walking away into the darkness of the catacombs in a long white flowing gown. Hayato follows Hinaki to a strange fountain in the deepest part of the catacombs where there is a tiny pond with nothing but water. Hinaki walks up the steps and Hayato then notices the water is white water and cannot see through it whatsoever, Hinaki takes on more step and gently glides into the water and disappears! Hayato walks back gloomly to the catacombs and to their camp and finds that Hinaki was there the whole time sleeping!
