I have an idea: why don't we buy all of the Afghan farmers' opium at triple the price the Taliban are paying them, establish a world market in Opium, use the crop for pharmaceuticals and destroy what we don't need. We'll stimulate their economy, provide protection from the Taliban, and the Taliban won't have as much influence as it does now. I think its a good idea.
