Streb's "railroad improvements" include the destruction of arterial street railway underpasses and their replacement with exclusively at-grade crossings further south on the same streets -- at the foot of a minority neighborhood.
These meetings for the absurd ODOT proposal took place within a week of the descent of the agency's bulldozers on the state's historic passenger rail center, OKC Union Station. High Speed Rail depends on a network of supporting conventional rail services. ODOT had just destroyed that possibility, knowing full well what it was doing. This is not the work of people who want passenger rail.
