  • WELL FIRST OF ALL...YOU HAVE TO HAVE GREAT MUSIC AND BE A REAL ARTIST...FIRST...AND HAVE SOMETHING TO OFFER...OTHERWISE YOU ARE JUST A USED CAR SALESMEN TRYING TO BE REBECCA BLACK HAVING HER CEREAL!!!!!!

  • Carajo! That way of speaking English kill me!!!!!!! well, review his blog anyway.. if i can! (I talk spanishhhhh)

  • That was great. I thoroughly understand the overload. Been there and still doing it...lol Thanks for sharing ♫

  • Couldn't agree more with the moral of the story.

  • The unpopular reality is this -- All of the Above. It's not a choice between "digital tools" and "direct human interaction" at all. To be successful in the Music Business (not necessarily as a "musician"), you truly need to master songwriting, instrumental chops and live performance in addition to the ridiculously numerous digital tools. Why? Well, the labels won't help you. It's DIY or fail.

  • I think this is great for up and coming artist to know - I want to throw this vid up on How2rap.com shoot me email (staff@how2rap.com so i can throw some interview questions with it. (Btw Got this message from Linkedin)

  • I'm sure a few of these digital tools have some merit like Indaba Music and a few others. But I think the point is that there is a whole industry that deals not in music but in exploiting the dreams and aspirations of musicians by offering services that are virtually (pun intended) worthless to all but the techno business geeks who started them.

  • I'm a musician, Jim, not a promoter!
