  • So I've blocked bloodmax42. We won't have to put up with those ridiculous comments that are just a waste of time to read anyway.

  • yeah dewrite, you can watch old footage of Cody, Chris Thile, Josh Williams and Michael Cleveland playing together. Pete Wernick arranged the "youth all-stars" for festivals when these guys were kids.

  • Yeah, Cody can rip on banjo and mandolin too! He is incredible.

  • Hey 95cooks,

I know exactly what you mean. The skills required to make music this clean acoustically are immense!!

  • Playing fast isn't the point. That's athletics, not music. The point is to play fast, and clean, and musically. Then it's exciting, breathtaking and beautiful. Otherwise it's just noise. People like Sutton and Doc Watson are famous not because they play fast, but because they play well.

  • Look up chris thile and bryan sutton, then decision at gladyfork. Thile and Flinner are two of the smoothest mandolin players I have ever heard. ENJOY

  • Was this on an instructional video?

  • The Best Two guitar players in bluegrass today, picking together. Man what talent.

  • Just a guitar delight!!

  • @lanerant An Elliot/Mckinney

  • I think I caught Sutton once playing guitar with Byron Berline in Texas, at least I think it was him and was amazed back then. Still am.

  • great, im experimenting in my own irish style flatpicking on my channel also, thanks for this vid, bryan sutton is god!!

  • @lanerant

Most of the guys I know use an original Schubb - works fine, easy to use, and won't break the bank if you lose it amd have to buy another.

  • great playing! fluid and beautiful!

  • I must have taught these guys those songs 20 times before they finally got it. They still need to practice if they want to get good on those things.

  • anyone know what kind of Capo it is that all these flatpickers use? seems like it's always on and just rests at the nut when not needed....

    thanks.
