Every fish tested by the USGC was contaminated with mercury, MIT teaches the people of Afghanistan to network with trash, and the Dolphins take home Oscar. Check out more Planet 100 News at: http://planetgreen.discovery.com/videos/the-planet-100/
Good that "The Cove" won an Oscar. The ecological damage done by eating dolphins is expensive. Dolphins control fish populations by eating the weak and ill ones. This avoids bad gene pools and diseases among fish. The economy of fish industries falls when finding less fish and of bad quality. Consuming those wouldn't be that healthy either. Fish control other organism populations, which are important to humans too, which control even other factors like nutrients, and so on...
Why can't you see that the plants you eat are alive too? Everything we eat, animals or plants are equally alive and equally beautiful. We kill them to live. If you think somehow you're not part of it, that's no different than the all hypocrites. People like you who cherry pick things that suite you and despise what doesn't give birth to blatant hypocrisy in society. Being Vegan isn't a hypocrisy, but claiming to be some what "innocent" is.
I can agree with that. =) Although I didn't know the footage was outdated, I knew that the Japanese still ate dolphins. And as horrible as that is, it's no different than what we do to cows, pigs, and chickens.

The Academy award for the documentary of dolphin
slaughter in Japan is complete non-sense.
The video footage was used illegally from a
long time ago and now all fishing are done according
to the law and is not something that should be brought
up as "needless slaughter".
It always pisses me off when some EGO driven
hypocrite comes on eating hamburgers and
starts lecturing about morality.
