Don't you just love the people on Medicare raising hell at the townhall meetings against healthcare reform? They must think Medicare comes from the North Pole on a sleigh. The healthcare system is sinking and some of those with coverage are in the life boat fipping off those without it. I have it, but still think it needs reforming. socialism- 1 a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.

2. procedure or practice in accordance with this theory.
3. (in Marxist theory) the stage following capitalism in the transition of a society to communism, characterized by the imperfect implementation of collectivist principles.

Collective principles- a.k.a. collectivism- is a term used to describe any moral, political, or social outlook, that stresses human interdependence and the importance of a collective, rather than the importance of separate individuals.Specifically, a society as a whole can be seen as having more meaning or value than the separate individuals that make up that society. Collectivism is widely seen as being opposed to individualism.
20,000 people a year are dying because they don't have health insurance, access to treatment. Almost 55 people a day. Remember those numbers as each day goes by. Remember that as the Insurance company lobbyists pour $1.4 million a day into Washington.
We're better than this, people--we really are better than this.
