I need help with my Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop. When I turns it on and than press F1 as it tells me to, all I'm getting is an black screen with a white cursor in left corner. I tried a lot of options, including putting in the Vista installation disk. Unfortunately; none of the options, I've tried worked. :(

  • Seems like your hardrive is toasted bud, you may need to purchase a new one! is the laptop still under warranty? if so bring her back for a HD drive failure! Thats what it looks like to me! To test it, try a HD 1st, and see if it well boot up if you have a extra drive kicking around! if it works ok then, it is certinly the HardDrive - HD is toast!

  • @radionut63 Thanks, I'll have to buy a new hardrive but is it possible to recover my data?
