BC Rich claim that the Mockingbird ST has been inspired by ex- Guns and Roses guitarist - Slash. It has several additions over and above the configuration of the original Mockingbird such as a number of phase switching options and a Varitone filter ...

The body has been crafted from Nato wood with Ebony stringers that then has an AAA Quilted Maple Veneer over the top, the neck is made from Maple and houses an Ebony fretboard with small white pearloid diamonds as fret markers. The pick-ups on the Mockingbird ST are in fact Rockfield Mafia Open Coil Humbuckers and are controlled by a variety of knobs and switches to optimise tone and frequency options.

Firstly, each pick-up has its own volume control - tone is controlled from a single master tone knob, there is then a variety of toggle switches - 3 x mini switches for pick-up coil tap and reverse phase options, plus a 5 way Varitone filter. A 3 way standard toggle switch is used to select pick-up activation and configuration ... The tremolo and bridge are a licensed Floyd Rose model and all hardware including the Grover Super Rotamatics machine heads is finished in matt black.

  • @DagerDevil Yeah, actually I think i was just treating it wrong. It's holding up pretty good now! :)

  • @TiipX I had the same guitar. What's the problem? Try to tune 4 5 6 strings and then push the floyd to the body and just tune a little first ones. It helped me))

  • @Fluffball425 Totally dude! Right now playing satriani and stuff and it sounds gorgeous!

  • I'm thinking of getting a new guitar, Would anyone recommend this...?

  • @holyass242 He has enough guitars in his memorium.

  • weird that BC Rich claim that the ST was inspired by flash as it has exactly the same layout as the classic mocking birds of the late 70's. The paint job and the Floyd are newer, but the shape and controls are 'classic' :)

  • they should have named it the bc rich mockingbird sh for saul hudson

  • Thinking of getting some of those rockfield mafia pickup for my axe

  • @MEGATROID114 I've had mine for over a year now. However, i will have it served pretty soon, cause i'm going to play live on stage way more from now on. :)

  • @TiipX strange.. how long have you had it?? i had mine foe a few months now and its staying in near perfect tune, only because a guitar can never stay in perfect tune forever. hopefully you can get that guitar to stay in tune better.

i'll never regret buying mine aswell. mines a honeyburst and it will never leave my possession!
