Another reason the film is emotional is the line: "And so it was that Nestor/ Found the manger where they stayed/Where kings and wivesmen bowed before the baby where He layed/Mary bore our Saviour/ Nestor brought them there/ A gift of love/ From God above/ For all the world to share...". God Bless Roger Miller, I have the whole song memorized. Classic film.
