This is the story of Stanley Yelnats IV, A boy who was accused of stealing some shoes that belonged to Clyde "Sweet Feet" Livingston, A popular baseball player. Stanley was sent to Camp Green Lake, (That used to be the largest lake in all of Texas, Now, It's just a dried-up wasteland ), to dig holes to build character. Late one ninght, When Stanley was just about done with his hole, He discovers the treasure of Kissin' Kate Barlow, The outlaw who robbed Stanley's dirty-rotten-no-good-pig stealing-Great-Great Grandfather 110 years ago.
