some yrs ago i visited and drove around TX state and of course visited many water holes....i can totally agree with you man....

But TX got some very fine rockabilly bands of course Austin based High Noon, one of my fav.bands. When i was in Lubbock there was a local Hillbilly/C&W band playing for some locals nearby my motel. That was great to see, and of course the music scene in San Antonio are pretty good. The thing that i didn't maybe recognise so much rockabilly at my trips to TX is probably the mainreason that i visited wrong music clubs.I think TX is a very great state.
