I was up early railfanning on Sunday Oct.9, 2011 at Weston Yards in Winnipeg when I captured 3 brand new, out of the box, ES44ACs heading west. I gave chase to get more video of these beauties, I have never seen brand new engines or engines as clean as these, I had to lower the brightness when editing my videos because they were glowing bright red. I checked my 2011 Canadian Trackside Guide for more info on these ES44ACs but there was no info on these, I also checked the internet and found no info. Must be brand new straight from the factory. Hope you enjoy these as much as I do.

  • Nice catch. I can't find myself a Canadian Track Side Guide 2011 since most are sold out.

  • @DieselSmoke92 Thanks. Sorry to hear about the 2011 Trackside guide being sold out, it is an amazing reference guide that is full of great info, hope you find one, I highly recommend it.

  • @rolpolold Thanks, thats what i've heard from other railfanners. Maybe if you know stuff about scanners you can help me buy one to.

  • @DieselSmoke92 I bought a scanner on ebay but never got it, lance campeau has a video on youtube which may be helpful.

  • Wow that's a nice Thanksgiving present...fantastic catch....wonder how big is the box for one of them.. :)

  • @Lafondue Thanks, I bought a Lionel Vision line ES44AC a while back and it is cool to see them in real life looking exactly the same. As far as the box is concerned, it must be as big as a mobile home full of foam peanuts :)

  • @rolpolold Yeah it didn't help me out to much. I need a good basic tutorial on how to use scanners.

  • @rolpolold hope to see a video of the Lionel version

  • @busrailfan Thanks, I always get a kick out seeing some out of the ordinary trains.

  • @awstott Thanks for the response, it is always nice to know where these diesels end up going to.
