And how's the build quality of the machine? Is there flex anywhere on the keyboard or chassis?

Storm chasing is broadly defined as the pursuit of any severe weather condition, regardless of motive, which can be curiosity, adventure, scientific exploration or for news / media coverage.
Build quality on this laptop is great sturdy and Well built.

2 things ... does it have a glossy style screen? and is that AH on your gr? have yet to actually see AH

No it does not Have a Glossy Screen. Glossy Screens are bad news for Chasing or anything besides siting in the dark and watching movies. That is Allison house running in GRLevel 3
