I got to explore the C-17 after the saturday show, i was in line to go on for 30 mins and because of the dust in the air it was practically raining mud! but it was totally worth it since i wanted to go on the C-17 ever sincei heard it was coming to RAAF Edinburgh

I know this is a bit off topic but I grew up in Elizabeth West in the 70's and went to heaps of airshows. It seems like there was one every year..OK.. one year..around 1975 a kid climbed a stobie pole and was electrocuted trying to catch a glimpse of the air show from his street...the picture on the front page of the news paper was of him hanging from the power lines...this horrified me being a kid of around 9 years of age myself...Does any one else from Adelaide / Elizabeth remember this?

@hsvnow I've read on a few forums and have been told that the 2011 RAAF airshow is going to be held in Edinburgh. I don't know how true it is, but it's always good to have hope! Fingers crossed!!!! Absolutely LOVED the show in 2007 :D

I don't know, it's usually 5 years between major
Air Shows, So a guess would be late 2012.
The last one was 2007 then previously 2002.
So it may be another long wait.

That F-111 was the best feature of that show apart from the C-17, and when they did the wall of fire, i could feel the heat from about 300 metres away,
