I wish that I could be a Godfather.

I was wondering where I had seen this, and then I remembered, it was in the book. Puzo is one of the most descriptive authors. After you see the movie, you can totally picture the scenes that didn't make the final cut.

tragic this was deleted. Shows more than any other moment the humanistic side of Vito plus the effect he has on those who know him.

And after this some ppl will say that "The Godfather" isn't one of the best films ? and it is too old? (it's ironic) it's So amazing... Just we cant even imagine how Genco respects and Trusts Godfather... They really should have never removed this episode, i totally agree... This scene is episode of Millenium... and that moment he asks to stay and frighten the death is just amazing... i start to tremble when i watch this episode... Its great! they act brilliantly!

wonderful, I dont have the words to describe the respect and the power that is welded by the don that one might even put him above death or god..Godfather...

"The Godfather Saga" contains this.
Seeing the Don in a tux and fedora, followed by Genco's imploring him to scare off Death illustrates perfectly how powerful and iconic the Don is in his community.
I understand why, for reasons of length and pacing, this was omitted from the theatrical release, but I'm grateful that it's available for us to enjoy now.
