I am a huge fan of J.R.R Tolkien's books. This is a clip I made to encourage people to read the Silmarillion. I used Howard Shore's fantastic music and a lot of Middle Earth art.

  • Hi everybody, Cempoos here, thanks for all your comments. it was so much fun doing this clip. Middle Earth rules!!

As for the Silmarillion films, I don't think that will happen. It's so vast... no one will take this on.

  • well, i think that's it. The audio track has been disabled because of copyrights. That's a shame :/

  • I read The Hobbit weeks ago and then started reading The Lord of the Rings. I'm still reading it and have thought of the Silmarillion, but after seeing this wonderful piece that you've put together I realize that now I must read it. Thanks so much for such a great contribution!

  • I'm really happy that you all like this clip so much :)

Thanks for all your views and comments.

Tolkien's books are really amazing, and there are lots of us fans out there :)

    cheers

  • I aways felt the Silmarillion could be made properly on the big screen with perhaps 5 movies and a separate movie for The Children of Hurin between the 4th and Final Silmarillion films.

  • I dont think there is any messages about morality, rather a struggle between good and evil or virtue against evil deeds.

It's fantasy at it's best, more exciting than the fantasy of the Bible. More dragons and elves.

  • I'd say Peter Jackson should make a series, 3 seasons, each having 6-8 ep (50min each).

  • Well done, a lot of details I would like too see are not mentioned but of course their is the great restraint of time. Thank you very much.

  • *Very* impressively done :)

  • bottom line, they need to make silmarillion films.

  • bra,men eg liker bedre hobbiten.:-)

  • @Stormclouds777

I think you mean Eöl, who is also called the Dark Elf. He lived with his son (for some time) in a dark forest. Look him up in the internet :)

    Glad you like it!!

  • so you know, Iluvatar is Elvish. It's not "in the tongue" of men.

  • F**KIN' GOOD TRAILER!!! I a reading "The Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit" at the same time, now. I HAVE ALL OF THE LORD OF THE RINGS MOVIES IN SPECIAL EXTENDED EDITION. I love J.R.R. Tolkien Books. J.R.R. Tolkien's son, Christopher, continued his father's work and made a series called: The History of Middle earth.

    GOOD TRAILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lol!

  • this book FUCKING SLAYS!!!! I LOVE THIS BOOK
