  • so part of exposing youself on youtube leaves you to critisism. but i dont want to try and knock anyone down. it is my hope that what i have to say is taken constructively.... I am a Cfaller and teach the 212 course to rookies. Im not sure of the experience level, but the size of the bars used indicate that you have done this before. although I cant help but notice some unsafe habits and skills that could be a bit more proficient...

  • Thanks for your input,Most of this video is from 2005/2006 when most of of were rookies in training.sense then we have learned a lot but still a lot more to learn. Most of the video is in Region 6 and some Region 4. check out part 2

  • Nice what's the name of this song

  • woulda been better with metallica!

  • Hope your habits have improved. Decent cuts watch that holding wood remember to be lookin up they got the name widow maker for a reason.

  • Are you guys from bend oregon?

  • As for the last tree, I have never understood why anyone would want to use the top of the bar to cut. Especially when not wrapping your thumb. Well I truly hope that this is helpful. I dont claim to be a know it all and I hope you dont let ego get in the way of what I have said. Hopefully the AC/DC will be more appropriate when y'all shine as Jedi's of the tool!

  • Ryan Falter, why not use the proper falling axe? perhaps a deeper face cut to get those stubborn candle sticks to fall easier. Looking up and wrapping your thumb are simple overlooked habits that can cost you a lot when luck isnt in your favor. Luck is usually what promotes these habits because nothing happens to make you think there's anything wrong. I have seen this actually go wrong many times. In this instance, the pulaski broke from the side impact on the handle and the tree sat back...

  • so, the first guy felling cuts through his hinge leaving only 50%, also as in all others I notice the habit of not wrapping their thumb, and only looking up at the very end when the tree is starting to fall. The second tree, now is this in Florida? there is a pencil pole that doesnt even seem to need to come down, and pushing a tree should be done without the saw in the other hand.
