The ergonomic pillow doesn't seem to work if you still have to use footrest -at least I can see your hips are at different level, so you still have pressure of twisting your lower back bones. I recommend using ErgoPlay - with it you can have both legs flat on the same level, which is good for your back.

@1828459045 Thanks for the input, I'll look into it.

@LittleCR You're welcome. One more idea: alternatively, you can try using the same pillow, but instead of lowering your right leg, try widening it (expanding it much further to the right). The whole idea that hips should be at the same level. Otherwise it defeats the purpose.

@1828459045 Very interesting, I'll try that because my back is vulnerable to pain. I still have an a-frame and an Aria guitar support with which to experiment, though I prefer the nature of a simple cushion: it doesn't suck on or squeeze on an expensive instrument and it's set up is instantaneous.

Worked on it for over a year huh? :/ I dont mean to be a douchebag and i know everyone learns at their own pace but i just started learning this song last week and im halfway through it. Why did it take a year?

@tolhead You're too civil to be written off as a 'douchebag'. I wanted to radically revamp my technique with a beginner's peice like this one that allowed me to practice using the following Right hand techniques: freestrokes with index & middle fingers w/ rest strokes in the thumb, the other way around, and also simultaneous rest strokes in the thumb and fingers while playing the octaves. Keep up your playing and encourage others to learn Classical music!
