I'm part Russian, I was adopted and never knew anything about my heritage until about a year ago and I love learning more about Russia and my roots. Thanks for posting this!! I really enjoyed it

Folk song is never composed by something, and of course not RUSSIAN folk song by Lonel Schmit...

The point of folk music is a style of the performing and the connections to the land and the local tradition...
Other way - any 1st year talented composer can write a beautiful melody....

I didn't understand the first sentence...
anyhow, it may be a russian-influenced melody... not especially something traditionnal

Yeah, but I think he adaptated a folk traditional russian music.. he didn't compose it
